Cheryl Johnson
(dancer, vocalist, drummer, choreographer) has performed Off-Broadway, for TV, music videos, international arts festivals and with touring dance companies. In NYC she performed in original music/dance theatre works at The New City Theatre, The Jerry Ames Tap Dance Company, Gail Conrad's Tap Dance Theatre and in a street performing unicycle act. Based in Seattle since 1986, she has collaborated with Anthony Peters on creations that feature the art of tap dance and live music. She has been awarded choreography grants from the Seattle Arts Commission, WA State Arts Commission, King County Arts Commission and Artist Trust Foundation, choreographed and performed Morton Gould's Tap Dance Concerto, mentors up and coming talent and co-founded the Johnson and Peters Tap Dance Studio. Cheryl has served as a guest lecturer to the University of Washington Dance Program, a dance consultant/instructor to Paul Allen's Experience Music Project, a guest instructor/choreographer at Seattle Children's Theatre and dance instructor at the 5th Avenue Theatre.

Anthony Peters
Anthony's earliest dance teachers were the dancers on the TV show "Where The Action Is"; he would copy their moves then perform them for his Mom and brother. His formal dance education started at age 18 with tap lesson. After performing in musicals and dinner theater in the Seattle area he moved to New York to study with tap dance icon Jerry Ames. Anthony danced in the Jerry Ames Tap Dance Company and the Gail Conrad Tap Dance Theatre, two companies that were important in the tap dance revival of the 1980's. Since returning to Seattle, Anthony collaborated with Cheryl Johnson presenting hundreds of tap dance concerts featuring live music. Anthony and Cheryl are the creative team behind "A Tap Dance Christmas Carol" and co-founded the Johnson and Peters Tap Dance Studio.
Karen Omahen
has been teaching and performing in the Northwest for the past 25 years. Performing credits include Broadway and Regional Theater, Spectrum Dance Theater, Ray Bussy's That's Jazz, television and film. She was on the faculty of the Professional Actor Training Program at the University of Washington. Favorite local choreography credits include 42nd Street, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The Boyfriend, and Storybook Theater.




Jessie Sawyers
has performed on stage at the Paramount Theater with Savion Glover in Dance This (2005) as well as with the legendary, late Gregory Hines (2002). Commercial credits include: a promotional video for Intel (2007) and commercials and appearances for Ivar's as their tap dancing clam mascot (1999 - 2006). In 2006, Jessie founded her own performance company, SoleSound Tap Dance Co., and since its inception has been well received at venues such as Vancouver International Tap Dance Festival, The Masters of Lindy and Tap at the Century Ballroom and at Microsoft Corporation.
