Adult Classes

Tap Dance . . . . . .

Beginning
Mon. and Wed. 6pm - 7pm
Tap technique from the first step through the basics.
Learn the traditional Shim Sham Chorus. Students must
begin within the first 3 weeks. Twice a week is highly
recommended. Tap shoes required.

Intermediate I
Thurs. 10am - 11am & 7pm - 8pm / Sat. 11am - 12pm
Tap technique for students progressing from Beginning.
More steps, more rhythm.

Intermediate II
Tues. 7pm - 8pm / Sat. 10am - 11am
A technique class for progressing students with a
minimum of 1 year Intermediate I experience. This
class touches upon classics and rhythm tap dance
styles including time step variations and rhythm tap
essentials.

Intermediate II - Seniors
Mon. and Wed. 10am - 11am
Tap technique geared for, but not limited to, senior
adults - taught with flexibility exercises to improve
balance and concentration. Jazz standards & ballads.

Intermediate III
Tues. and Thur. 6pm - 7pm
Tap technique for advanced intermediate students ready to bridge the distance to the next level.

Advanced
Mon. 6pm - 7pm / Sat. 12pm - 1pm
Tap technique emphasizing footwork, musicality, dynamics and performance skills.

Leon Collins Steps - Int./Adv.
Wed. 7pm - 8pm

Intro to Improvisation - Intermediate
Mon. 7pm - 8pm

Improvisation - Experienced Improvisers

Jazz Dance/Fitness . . . . . .

GroovementsTM
Wed. 6-7pm / Sat. 9am - 10am
"No Parking On the Dance Floor". Move it. Groove it. R&B/Funk/Latin/Rock/Soul/Hip-Hop/Acid Jazz. This
class is similar to a jazz dance class with a center
warm-up, isolations, stylized moves across the floor
and brief combinations. Wear sneakers. Laugh a lot!

Strength'n'Balance
Tues. 6pm-7pm & Thurs. 7pm-8pm
Resistance training, core strengthening and exercises
that challenge and improve balance to support all activities. This class is offered as a semi-private lesson.

Cost of Lessons.............

The Adult payment structure is designed to give students flexibility. Single classes are offered for drop-ins and students with unpredictable schedules. 10 class cards offer a discount for students who begin class mid-session and plan to use the card within 3 months of purchase. Session payments offer the greatest discount to students who can commit to a specific number of classes within the session dates.
